The kind that involves poop scooping at dawn, hose-wielding acrobatics, and scrubbing pouches that smell like something science hasn’t named yet.

To every wildlife carer who’s ever:

• Wrestled a mop in a joey shack while being stared down by a cranky kangaroo

• Removed mystery goo from a pouch with nothing but a glove and sheer willpower

• Hosed down an enclosure only to be re-pooped on five minutes later

• Cleaned a possum’s bum while whispering sweet nothings to keep it calm

• Found themselves ankle-deep in mud, straw, and something suspiciously squishy

Because behind every adorable joey photo is a carer who just spent an hour cleaning up after a digestive disaster. Behind every peaceful pen is someone who scrubbed, swept, and sanitized while dodging flying pellets and curious snouts.
